UK automotive supplier Coba Plastics Ltd has changed its name to Coba Automotive (UK) Ltd, in a bid to reflects its core business activity.
The name change came into effect on 1 July.
Based in Fleckney, UK, Coba is a tier 1 and OEM supplier of thermoplastic extruded and moulded components to the automotive manufacturing industry.
According to chief operating officer, Jonathan Atkinson, the new name aims to underline Coba’s “maturity and reputation” within the industry.
The company also said that it would continue to invest in its engineering and manufacturing facilities at its headquarters in Leicestershire.
Automotive products manufactured by Coba include glazing system seals, gaskets for rail/roof ditch assembly, weather seals, under-the-bonnet seals, air management seals as well as interior/exterior trim and components.
Coba Automotive is part of the Portuguese Coba Group of manufacturing companies. The company has production facilities in the UK, Germany, Slovakia, Romania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
