What is the repair process of forging die?
The forging mould is a hot stamping die, which is often in contact with high temperature metal. When forging press, the metal is high speed flow in the mold chamber, the mold is easy to wear and wear, plus the heavy impact force at work, the precision of the cavity is higher.
In the case of the repair of the hammer forging die, the hammer forging die is generally adopted. The roughness of the mold is reduced and the dimension precision is improved by the manual operation of the die before quenching.A fine grinding or polishing operation is performed on the surface of the die after quenching.
The finishing process is complicated and can be determined according to the shape, size and use of the mold.Generally according to the following principles: first machining the cylindrical part of the chamber, reprocessing the main linear contour section, and finally processing the complex, small contour section.
1) fine repair of mold chamber. As shown in the figure below, the fitter should be selected according to the shape of the mold and use a variety of straight head or elbow file or scraper to fix the parts according to the shape of the mold.

Die chamber refinement
In order to ensure the machining quality of the mold, the sample test should be used frequently during the finishing process.Chamber as shown in the above modules, to do model to test of the four pieces of size, shape, different cross section shape, test the longitudinal section A - A need ー block model, frontier defense and repairing.
2) test of mold surface. When checking, you must pay attention to the placement of the sample, and you can usually draw a sample position line on the parting surface, and then test the sample by line insertion. In addition to the sample test, the shape of the mold can also be used to test the cylinder, taper, arc and sphere respectively. Both the measuring rod and the steel ball are both heat treated and ground and mounted on the handle. When the test is done, apply the coloring method and evenly apply the display agent on the measuring stick or the steel ball surface. After putting in the mold, gently shake the handle to leave the color mark on the surface of the mold. From then on, it is determined that the fine repair parts can be refined by this method, and its size accuracy can reach 0.05 ~ 0.10mm.
3) proofread test. After the mold is repaired, the upper and lower molds should be checked and tested.
For punching die with higher accuracy, the lead method is used. The upper and lower modules are fitted together with the bow clamp, and the lead liquid is filled in the mold chamber, and the two halves of the lead casting are tested after cooling, so as to judge the effect of the mold cleaning. However, because lead is larger than steel during cooling, the hammer forging die with a high precision requirement should be tested by using the lead method on the pressure machine.Because lead has no abnormal shrinkage at room temperature, the actual size of the mold can be obtained accurately.
For punching die with larger size and less precision, it can be used to test the size of the mold.
