Melt temperature and mold temperature

The optimum molding temperature setting is related to many factors such as injection molding machine size, screw configuration, mold and molding design and molding cycle time.In general, in order to make the plastic gradually melt, set lower temperature in the rear section/feed area and set higher temperature in the front of the material tube. However, if the screw is poorly designed or the L/D value is too small, the reverse temperature setting is also acceptable.

In the aspect of mold temperature, the high temperature mold can provide a better surface appearance, the residual stress will be smaller, and the thinner or longer molding products are also easy to fill.Low mold temperature can shorten the molding cycle.Screw rotation speed.

Recommended 40 to 70rpm, depending on the machine and screw design.

In order to fill the mold quickly, the injection pressure is as high as possible, generally about 850 to 1,400kg/cm2, and the maximum can reach 2,400kg/cm2.
