How to choose reasonable die structure?

Mold design principle is to ensure sufficient strength, stiffness, concentricity, to neutral and rational blanking clearance, and reduce the stress concentration, to ensure that the mold to produce parts meet the design requirements. For mould of main work parts (such as the convex and concave die mold, injection mold dynamic and fixed mold, stamping die of upper and lower mould, etc.) for its high accuracy and good concentricity of guidance and blanking clearance is reasonable.

In mold design, the following aspects should be considered.

When designing convex die, attention must be paid to guide support and center protection. In particular, self-guided structure is adopted in the design of keyhole punch, which can extend the die life.

In order to reduce the concentration of stress, the circular arc should be adopted for the weak parts such as interangular and narrow groove

Transition, arc radius can be 3 ~ 5mm

As for the complex concave die structure, the stress concentration can also be reduced by using the mounted structure. To reasonably increase the clearance, improve the mechanical state of the working part of the convex mould, and make the blanking force,

The unloading force and pushing force are decreased, and the edge wear of convex and concave dies is decreased.
