What is a ceramic mold?
Ceramic parts are often used in power industry, which require certain insulation and mechanical properties.Ceramics have recently been developed for structural parts (such as cylinder liners, cylinder covers) and knives.
The ceramic parts are made of ceramic raw materials (mainly clay, feldspar and quartz) by pressing and molding. The mould used for pressure forming is called ceramic mold. The equipment used for pressure is screw press, friction press, hydraulic press and special press.
The forming process of the blank piece is to apply the mold cavity to the mold cavity, and put the weight accurately in the mold cavity. Press the top die down to the next mold and close it, then open the mold and top out the blank.
In the process of molding, the pressure flow of the mud is caused by friction with mold core and cavity. Therefore, carbon tool steel is generally used in mold core and cavity parts, and hardened.
