What are the properties of a die-casting die?

The process of die-casting is to inject the metal liquid into the mold with high pressure and high speed, and then the mold will be formed after solidification in the mold.According to the different casting alloy and the complexity of casting shape, the pressure ratio of pressure casting is 20 ~ 80MPa.

The metal liquid enters the mold, and the mold cavity and core surface are subjected to intense shock and erosion, which is corroded and worn. The metal liquid can not avoid the mould of the slag, which can produce complex chemical effects with the cavity and core. The temperature of the mold cavity and core surface of the mold cavity and core surface is increased sharply, and the internal stress is formed by forming a large temperature gradient inside, resulting in cracks in the surface.Mold cavity and core parts, therefore, must have a high temperature strength, high temperature stability and impact toughness, hardness, resistance to tempering and needs to have good thermal conductivity, thermal fatigue resistance, high temperature oxidation resistance and creep resistance.
