Precision edm process
Precision edm using multi - electrode machining process.According to the different characteristics of the discharge gap in rough, semi fine and finish machining, a few electrodes of corresponding sizes are adopted to finish the rough, semi fine and finish machining of a mold cavity.
First, the rough machining electrode is used to remove a lot of metal, then the semi-finishing electrode is replaced to finish the transition from rough machining to finish machining, and finally the finishing electrode is used for final finishing machining.The loss of the electrode should be compensated by replacing several electrodes.In general, the size scaling of the electrode in precision machining is 0.03 to 0.1mm/ one side. In machining, the processing conditions of multiple sections are used to repair the side and bottom section by section.
Because of small shaking momentum, it still has high copying precision, and the shaking processing makes discharge more stable, which can obtain more uniform surface roughness of the side and the bottom surface, which has been widely used.Many electrodes need to be replaced during precision machining. As long as the repeated positioning accuracy is guaranteed, satisfactory process effect can be achieved.
