Mold design affects mold cost
I. factors affecting mold cost
Three key factors affecting mold cost: early-stage product mold feasibility evaluation ESI, precision mold design and mold engineering management.When many bosses and managers of small and medium-sized mold enterprises mention the cost of mold, they first think of the following methods:
(1) change the mold material from imported steel to cheap domestic steel;
(2) materials should be as thin and small as possible to save materials;
(3) reduce the processing amount;
(4) make less thimble and insert pieces;
(5) less designed and processed waterways;
(6) use no hot runner as much as possible;
(7) cooling water channels are strung together to reduce pipe joint.
Basically save cost from material and processing cost, actually this is wrong.Just look at the surface of the costs, and those methods just add to the costs, not reduce them.Only considering the cost of the mold itself, there is a problem in concept. Only injection molding can reflect the value of the mold. The real value of the mold lies in the high efficiency, high quality, low loss, few mold failures and successful completion of injection molding product production.
