Application of buckle machine in the design of injection mould
The buckle machine is the basic component of the mold, and it is mainly used to control the sequence of separation of each template of the injection mold and the mold opening stroke or mold closing sequence. The more complex the mold structure, the more it is inseparable from the sequential parting between the various templates. There are many types of buckle machines, and major well-known mold parts suppliers have invested a lot of manpower and are unable to continue research and development, forming a series of buckle machines suitable for various mold structures. Mastering the application of various buckle machines is the basis for analyzing the mold structure and an insurmountable stage for learning complex injection molds.
1. MISUMI sequential mold opening and buttoning machine PLS/PLM/PLL
In the process of closing and opening the injection mold, the requirements for the button machine are accurate and reliable, with low noise and impact. The MISUMI sequential mold opening button machine PLS/PLM/PLL is a high-performance button machine, as shown in Figure 1. It consists of 7 parts (excluding screws and positioning pins). Its characteristics are: the button machine has a compact structure and a small volume. . The mold opening sequence is accurate and there is no reaction force. There is no clamping load at all, and it is suitable for low-pressure clamping molding. Its action has nothing to do with the clamping sequence. If the runner push plate is closed before the parting surface, the locking block will retract by itself, so there is no need to worry about interference.
When using, it must be noted that this button machine must be used in pairs and installed symmetrically. Commonly used 2 sets or 4 sets of combination. PLS is suitable for molds of less than 1.0 tons, and 2 sets are installed; PLM is suitable for molds of less than 1.8 tons, and 2 sets are installed; PLL is suitable for molds of less than 4.0 tons, and 2 sets are installed.
The main working surfaces of the bolt are the two sides of the size W1. The two sides need to be worn during the work, and the high-frequency quenching hardness is above HRC45; the two sides shown by the size T need to be drilled and installed, and the hardness is lower, which is HRC30.
2.STRACK deduction machine
In high-end molds exported to Europe and the United States, STRACK buckle machines are often used, and STRACK buckle machines have a wide range of applications in Europe. Therefore, its structure is simple, its performance is superior, it is not affected by component wear, its locking force is large, it is safe and reliable, and its service life is long. STRACK does not use ordinary round wire springs as the source of elastic force, but uses high-performance springs to drive. STRACK button machine Z5 is shown in Figure 4.

Installation Precautions:
1) Used in pairs, at least 2 sets can be installed, 4 sets can also be installed, mainly used in large molds.
2) The gap between the lock catch 4 and the insert 15 needs to be eliminated during installation.
3) The installation position of the fixed block 2 can be changed by intercepting the length of the buckle arm.
4) The size of STRACK button machine Z5 can be selected according to the size of the mold, z5-0 is the smallest, and Z5-2 is the largest.
5) Symmetrical installation, consistent stroke adjustment, to prevent the single set of buckle machine from being damaged by uneven force.
6) After the fixed installation, the low-speed mold opening verifies that the action is correct, and then it is equipped with positioning pins.
3. RABOURDIN button machine
RABOURDIN mold parts and STRACK mold parts are collectively referred to as Rieckermann mold parts, both of which are widely used in French molds. RABOURDIN buckle machine is shown in Figure 7. A serrated groove is designed at the bottom of the cam, through which the stroke of the buckle machine can be adjusted.
