Injection molding is a production technique that involves forcing molten thermoplastics into a mold cavity under high pressure. It is highly efficient for producing parts in large quantities.
Overmoulding is a specialized injection molding technique used to join multiple materials into a single component. It is ideal for creating products with multiple colors or layered structures.
Insert molding is a process in which pre-placed components are embedded within molded plastic. It is especially useful for parts that require threaded inserts or holes.
Injection Moulding Services
We prioritize injection moulding for the production of low-volume plastic components. With its excellent precision, consistent repeatability, and cost-effectiveness in larger runs, our injection moulding solutions have been utilized to manufacture a wide range of parts - from tiny medical inserts to sizable components for the automotive and aerospace industries.

FAQ's about injection molding service

What Does Plastic Injection Molding Cost?
The total cost of injection molding is determined by three core elements:
- Tooling Costs: Based on part complexity, precision requirements, and mold materials
- Material Costs: Depends on plastic type selection, quantity, and market pricing
- Production Costs: Including machine time, labor, and post-processing expenses
Cost Optimization Strategies:
- Simplify part design to reduce complex features
- Select appropriate material specifications
- Plan production volumes strategically
- Optimize mold design for improved production efficiency
- Detailed cost analysis requires evaluation based on specific project requirements and specifications.
Who Owns the Injection Molds?
Customer Mold Ownership
- Customers retain complete ownership of all custom tooling they develop
- Customers have full intellectual property rights and usage rights for their molds
Manufacturing Partner Proprietary Components
- Reusable proprietary components developed by Manufacturing Partners (MP) remain MP property
- These components typically include standardized fixtures or universal tooling
Mold Storage Policy
- Standard Storage Period: All custom tools are stored at MP facilities for a minimum of 2 years at no charge
- Extended Storage: After 2 years of inactivity, MP will contact abismould to determine continued storage needs
- Customer Communication: abismould handles all customer communication regarding future arrangements
- Mold Transfer: Tools can be transferred to any desired location upon customer request, with costs borne by the requesting party
