                           Exhaust of injection mold

   Exhaust of injection mold is a problem that cannot be ignored in mold design. Poor exhaust can cause numerous problems, such as: air holes, voids, burning, air bubbles, silver lines on the surface, obvious welding wiring, etc.

   The gas accumulated in the mold mainly comes from the following sources:

1. Air in the feed system and cavity.

Plastics contain water that evaporates at high temperatures to produce water vapor.

Gas produced by plastic decomposition.

Gases produced by the volatile or chemical reactions of certain additives in plastics

5. Air and water entrained in the feed!

   The basic design points can be summarized as follows:

1. The exhaust shall be fast and complete, and the exhaust speed shall be consistent with the mold speed;

2. Vent tank should be set on the molding part with thicker rubber parts as far as possible;

3. Vent shall be opened on the parting surface as far as possible;

4. The vent shall be located as far as possible at the end point and confluence of the feed flow, such as the end of the cold feed well;

5. For the convenience of mold manufacturing and mold cleaning, the exhaust groove should be located at the side of the die as far as possible;

6. The direction of the exhaust groove should not be toward the operating surface to prevent accidental injury caused by material leakage during injection molding;

7. There should be no * Angle in the exhaust tank to prevent cold storage;

8. The size and size of the exhaust groove should be appropriate (generally the thickness should be about 0.2-0.3mm), and processing should be conducted according to the requirements of specific materials and products to avoid causing flying edge.

   Common forms of exhaust are:

1. Exhaust of vent or orifice

2. Profile exhaust

3. Vent the slit of insert

4. Push rod or thimble clearance exhaust

5. Powder burning combined with gold nugget exhaust

6. Set the exhaust rod for mandatory exhaust

7. Apply the vacuum exhauster to achieve the effect of active exhaust and complete exhaust.
